Requirements Analysis and System Definition
This is the front-end technical service which the retailer requires to understand the processes possible and to identify the technical solutions that ORSI can provide to systematize these processes.
Development
ORSI product development is driven by market and client priorities. They are in two general categories:
Functional improvements and additions accomplished via internal development and/or the selection and integration of software systems developed by others, and
Technological improvements accomplished via selection of technology and its integration into the base system.
Custom Development: This type of development is done under contract to meet specific client requirements and typically involves modifications of existing programs or creation of new functions for the client.
Product Development: Product development is undertaken to add new system functional modules, enhance the functionality of existing functional modules, or to create new products i.e., the Physical Inventory System. Product development is also undertaken to support new technologies and to maintain system currency.
